That is a very good point, we haven't seen anything from Mark and Gemma's relationship up until now. Yes he will have to make a choice at some point, which is the mind bender, i feel like all the questions about severance and how it splits work and personal are about to be tuned on its head from what we have seen so far in this season

Maybe not what they are doing with her just yet because that is a great mystery, but more back story would make me care even more about what is happening to her and to Mark. It's also so easy to ship Mark S and Helly R, but if we get to know Gemma and Mark as a couple that could really complicate things. Obviously, there is already some complication, but it's more knowledge based rather than emotional because we've been set up to care more about Helly than Gemma. I also find that possibility interesting because we don't like Helena. What will we want to happen in the future if we connect with Gemma/Ms. Casey as both outie and innie, but only like Helly as an innie? If he didn't reintegrate it seems like Mark's innie and outie could have somehow maintained separate relationships with each of them (even though that's super weird), but if he becomes one mind, he's going to have to make a choice. It's mind boggling!
