A flush of heat and the world spins around you, a blur. Then the sudden feeling of a cool afternoon breeze across your bare shoulders, belly and legs. You can't understand why your skin is so exposed like this. What happened to your suit? Something soft tickles your back. It feels like hair, but how could it be? The balls of your feet rise up on high heels (high heels?!) and your bones shift in ways that don't seem right, hips creaking wider every moment. You feel an unfamiliar heaviness on your chest, a swell. Your vision clears and you look down at your hands. Strange, soft little hands with long, pink nails.
You're due back at the office in 11 minutes. You had a presentation scheduled this afternoon, and mere moments ago it seemed like the most important thing in the world. Make or break, life and death.
But none of that matters anymore, does it?
