Nanami is one of the many acquaintances she's made in other fighting circuits- someone she never has to cross paths with in a scuffle, but they have a LOT in common with their lives.
Sure, Nanami is a fighter too, but she's not nearly as built as Chun Li is. So, when the queen of kicks surprised her jumping on her back from behind, she got a little, uh, crushed. Chun's idea of the "friendly hug" could definitely break some ribs when her legendary thighs are involved...
