PSA - My Account Was Suspended 9/8/25

Hey y'all - as some of you may already know, my account got suspended yesterday morning. It's since been reinstated, but I wanted to keep you all in the loop about what happened.

Patreon cited some works as being in violation of their Guidelines. Specifically, works like my Eddie Brock sketchpage (alleged depiction of force/NC/someone being overpowered) and some YCH WIPs depicting a werewolf character (alleged beast / animal content, despite Patreon's terms stating that fantasy creatures are ok).

During my suspension, my page was unpublished, all subs were frozen, my DMs were locked, and my funds were inaccessible to me.

I was surprised to see the works cited being the crux of the issue. I expressed as much to the rep who contacted me - but given that many, many artists have reported experiencing unforgiving treatment, poor communication, or have outright lost the ability to appeal their suspensions due to insufficient compliance, I still deleted the content as requested. I was also told to review my WHOLE account, and remove anything that may be similarly in breach of their guidelines. Going off what little information I had, I did so. Unfortunately, this means that some exclusive poll winner image sets had to be removed, some corresponding WIPs and process posts, and a handful of finished YCH commissions.

This was a really alarming escalation of their content moderation. If I lost my monthly Patreon income, I would not be able to support myself. Even after remediation and my account being reinstated, I feel extremely uneasy with the kind of lens being applied to my work. I'm frustrated that it felt necessary for me to guess (and potentially over-comply) to feel like I've satisfied guidelines that read as intentionally vague and seem applied selectively/subjectively depending on the artist.

Ostensibly, nothing has changed for you all, aside from me removing some content.

I have no intention of changing the categories of benefits I provide going forward, or change the amount of art I post on Patreon. That said, it's incredibly frustrating to have to self-censor this way and also remove older exclusive content that y'all are entitled to explore.

I'm not allowed to link/refer you offsite to alternative subscription services, so I won't. But it may be worth your time to consider whether you want to continue using Patreon's services when there are other options for you to support your favorite creators via monthly subs.

I do want to be SUPER clear, also, that Patreon IS and will probably continue to be my main financial lifeline for the forseeable future.

It would be nice for that to change, so I can have greater stability and creative freedom - but I feel nothing but gratitude and overwhelming affection for the community I have here, because I wouldn't be able to do what I do without you all. If Patreon is the only way you feel comfortable accessing/supporting my exclusive art, I have nothing but empathy and understanding, and I encourage you to keep hanging out with us here!
