Happy holidays and merry almost-new-year!! 🎊🍾🥳 Here’s a process post for our most recent poll winner, with snapshots from thumbnail to final + some detail images, too!

Like I mentioned before, this image set ended up being a welcome artistic high note to close out 2025. I really love this palette (teals/grey blues with scarlet or red accents) in other folks’ work, and while this might not be the most daring or saturated expression of it, making a departure from some of my more familiar color choices pleases my brain-meat greatly, lolol.
I’ll reflect on this more in a year-end review post, too - but this piece is a good example of some of the experimentation I’ve done this year that’s had more to do with composition than changes to my mark-making or rendering style. The high angle/reflection was a fun challenge. I really enjoy pushing myself to make any given composition more dynamic, and one way to do that is by making sure there aren’t as many parallels or tangents between the outer frame of the composition and the big shapes/lines within. (You can see my marked up thumbnail for a better representation of what I’m talking about) The abridged version of this principle is “it often looks more interesting if you tilt the thing you’re drawing more than you think you need to”. 😂 ofc this isn’t a blanket rule, and there’s a time and a place for everything - but it’s been helpful for me to remember this year.
Anywho! Here’s to my final process post of 2025, haha! ✨✨✨ I just wanna say thanks to every one of y’all for being a part of my little smut community and sharing in my art journey, and a special thanks to those who enjoy my process ramblings and these little behind-the-scenes peeks throughout the year! Can’t wait to see where I’ll go with y’all in 2026. Much love 💗

FYI: I have a collection of all my previous WIP previews, process posts, and tutorials HERE! Also, I'm always happy to answer process-related questions in comments or DM (I like to yammer about art stuff 🤭) so don’t be shy if you’re curious about how I work!
