Dismembering Framework: The release is live!

Hello everyone,

I’m excited to announce that after a brief but very positive beta testing phase, the mod is finally available on Nexus!

Creating this framework in such a short time (though I understand it might seem long from a distance) was only possible thanks to your incredible support. Without it, I wouldn’t have been able to dedicate so much time to this project.

The framework and its asset packs each have their own pages now, as they will evolve independently. There's no need to re-download the entire framework if an asset pack receives an update, and vice versa.

But now that everything is live on Nexus, what’s next?

We’re not stopping here, of course! There are plenty of ideas on the table from the development of the framework. Some were set aside for later due to their complexity, while others may become separate mods because the framework isn’t intended to be a catch-all tool and must remain streamlined and fully compatible with its environment.

I plan to conduct a small survey in the coming days or weeks to get a clearer picture of what you’re most excited about (though I already have some ideas from our recent discussions). It’s likely that my next efforts will focus on creating assets for other creatures in the game. Imagine dismembering trolls, wolves, or even spiders! Similarly, I’ll continue working on humanoid assets, although most of these were completed during the beta. These asset packs are crucial for the framework’s purpose and longevity.

There may also be some patches and bug fixes (thanks to your invaluable help, the mod has been released smoothly, just as I hoped). For medium- to long-term new features, I’m interested in exploring live dismemberment (which is a natural progression for the project but also a more challenging path). I won’t make any promises until I’m certain I have something to offer.

For now, I’ll take a short breather (I need to recharge a bit, lol) and focus on maintenance and responding to questions on the mod’s Nexus pages.
