In the interest of just writing about whatever I'm working on, let's talk audio!
Up until the last post, literally every single audio track I've done for all of my videos has been on the Premiere Pro timeline, which sucks and sucks really bad.
I wanted to do some proper panning audio of what would sound like footsteps coming from behind you or hoove stomps from right to left, but the best that Premiere Pro has to offer is just basic audio level automations, where audio would start loud in one ear and then pan over in volume to your other ear. While this works, it's not actually how your ears hear things! In this case, to be able to pinpoint the actual feeling of having something moving from a distance away from you, behind you, and then to the other side, you need proper interspatial audio delay, or the idea of audio taking a different amount of time subtly to hit one ear, then the other.
This is to say that I need to start using an actual audio suite to start making some of these effects, like FL Studio. :3 I'm playing around with some effects right now, including the above-mentioned properly designed 'left to right' panning with actual audio delay and spatial awareness, and I think it's turning out nicely. <3 Hopefully with more learning and work, I'll be able to start increasing the quality of my audio for projects significantly by having a much more robust editing suite for that side of videos. I want to look to include some more ASMR stuff for future videos as well where suitable, as there are going to be some more wet and sloppy themes that would benefit from it. <3
Hopefully have something out for you all tomorrow!
All the best,
dreddy~!
