This OVA subtly explains three things about life: 1.) Be careful what you wish for in the end because the ramifications of getting what you want will ripple out and change the world but not always for the better. 2.) Some people's nature, Eren for example, cannot be changed. No matter how much you try. No matter how much you wish they would change some people will remain the same and move forward to their final destination. 3.) Getting lost in a fantasy world of your own creation is not a solution to your real world problems. It maybe nice to do so but the real world will not go away even if you are lost in your own head space. In the end, it's just better to deal with real life head on.
