Thank you so much for your support here on Patreon! 💕

You'll need to sync up your own copy of the episode in order to watch along with me. Open 2 windows, one with the reaction and one with the video, then arrange them how you see fit!

Watched on through norwegian streaming service. Sometimes it runs faster and to make it synced try to set the video to 0.95 speed. If it runs slower, set the video to 1.05 speed. Hope it helps! 💕

[FULL REACTION] The Godfather (1972)

GF and GF2 are top two favorite movies of all time. The Shawshank Redemption is third.

It is true that some of the people and events depicted in the “Godfather” movies were based on real people. There was a Mafia boss who like Vito Corleone didn’t want to get involved with drugs, but he was overruled and now drug trafficking is where the Mafia makes a lot of their money. I read the “Godfather” book a couple of years ago and I highly recommend it. It goes into further detail about some of the characters. For example, we learn what happens to the men who sexually assaulted Bonasera’s daughter. There also was a edited for television version called “The Godfather Saga” which aired years ago and had extra scenes added which weren’t in the theatrical versions. Looking forward to seeing you watch “The Godfather II”. You’ll love it!

Really exicted for these! My favorite movies ever - they do a great job of painting that world. It is rumored that the story of Johnny Fontaine is based on Frank Sinatra. Also the guy who played Luca Brasi was a real-life tough guy for a crime family at one point. I think the cat was actually a stray on the set that found its way into the first scene and Brando just rolled with it. Yeah Carlo definitely setup Sonny. That is the only way they knew Sonny would be coming through the toll booth. Sonny was supposed to stay at their estate but Carlo knew that Sonny's rage would get the best of him, so the scene where Carlo beat Connie, that was all a big setup to get Sonny out in the open. Carlo wanted to do more for the Corleone family, but Vito didn't want that, so Carlo took the opportunity to help the Barzini family. In addition to Pacino, Brando and Talia, also famouns and successful are James Caan (Buddy the Elf's biological dad), Robert Duvall (Hagen), Diane Keaton (Kay) and Ave Vigoda (Tessio). One interesting thing is the guy who played Fredo, John Cazale, died of cancer when he was only 42. He was only in 4 films, but all four were nominated for Best Picture. Overall an incredibly talented cast.

No speed adjustment needed to sync with my stream of the movie on US Amazon. My favorite part of the movie is the juxtaposition of the baptism and the assassinations. That was stunning. I also like the few seconds of the look on Michael's face after Michael sits down at the restaurant table after retrieving the gun from the bathroom. The intensity on his face -- great acting by Pacino. He is not listening to what they are saying or distracted by anything -- only focused on that he is about to shoot Sollozzo and McCluskey. "I hope that their first child, be a masculine child." —Luca Brasi “That’s my family, Kay. It’s not me.” —Michael Corleone "Women and children can be careless, but not men." —Don Vito Corleone "Fredo, you're my older brother, and I love you. But don't ever take sides with anyone against the Family again. Ever." —Michael Corleone I think you may find interesting the prequel part of Godfather 2.

Yes, a prosthetic “bumper” inside his mouth, to swell his jaw/cheeks. The actor Marlon Brando was 47, playing a 63 year old Don Corleone

Drew
