Weekly Status Update

*tap tap tap* Is this thing on? *feedback from the speakers* Right, sorry about that. Time for our weekly update, just to keep people abreast of what's coming down the pipeline and when to expect it.

I just threw up the poll for the VIPs to decide what I'll be writing for the first week of November, 11/5. There are only a small number of people at that level, so they wield an incredible amount of power. For the month of October, they chose to get more Quaranteam, which is why there will be a chapter coming on Friday. If you're one of those VIPs, go and make your voice heard! Lots of options to choose from, far more than there were last month, but if you want to choose QT again, well, that is your right, and who am I to tell you no? Also with the cliffhanger at the end of 30, dropping on Friday, you may well want to. But then again, you may also be one of those demented people like me who enjoys dragging out the suspense, and if so, well, I'm here for you bastards too, so have at it! And if anyone wants to have more say in what gets written each month, you can bump yourself up to Tier 3 and vote on the latest poll, which ends on 10/20.

Speaking of QT30, it's nearly done as I take the break to write this, with just a little bit more of the scene to write, and my review process to go through tomorrow. I'll probably still post it on Friday, but it'll likely be earlier in the day, because it's nearly done now, and I anticipate the rest of the scene won't take too long to finish. The very end of the scene (i.e. the cliffhanger) is already written (in my storyboard outline!) and it should have people eagerly awaiting the next chapter once they read it. Looking to be somewhere between 5-7k words, which is more in line with my usual weekly output, but who the hell knows at this point. Sometimes the muse is cracking the whip like crazy, sometimes I'm cracking the whip on her ass to get her moving.

The current roadmap has our next chapter of Brewster's Brood, for our tier 2 Patrons and above, targeted for 10/22, and that will definitely be a bigger piece, because I'm sort of eager to get into that story, and it's got a million things going on in it (and loads of characters all sort of appearing at once), so I'll probably actually start work on that tomorrow, which will allow me to ramp up for next week in term of generating everything I'll need for our first real piece of that story.

The week after that, 10/29, will be a stand alone story that's Halloween themed. I was chatting with another creative friend of mine on Monday who complained to me that all the erotic fiction they see themed for Halloween is sort of lackluster and/or predictable, and he dared me to write one, so, sure, why not, game on.  It's currently being doodled on under the working title of "The Trick of Treating," but who knows if that title'll hold my interest. I can probably think of something better. My patrons will get that just a few days before Halloween, and as always, everyone else'll see it a month or so later. No idea how long that story will be, since I've only been doing the rough concepting in my head. It has a couple of twists in it, though, so it's a little like writing an episode of "The Twilight Zone." Fun stuff.

If the VIP's choose for QT to come back on 11/5, then I'll probably do something different for 11/12, but who knows? My ability to predict things that far in the future is, uh, suspect at best, so let's just say it's up in the air, and we'll think about that when we're closer. And if they choose for me to work on something other than QT for 11/5, then the next QT chapter (Chapter 31) will be definitely be on 11/12. 

Anyway, that's what the next month or so looks like right now, but plans are subject to change based on muses, demands, etc. All targeted release dates are +/- 2 days time, but right now, Friday's feeling like a good sweet spot to make each new story update, or at least nobody's suggested anything different. So I'll see Team CP again on Friday with QT 30.
