Weekly Update - 6/8/22

Won't be a long update, simply because there's loads of writing to be done. QT45 is up, and it took a little longer because I needed to set some specific things up, and the introduction to a particular character needed to be handled just right. I think I did alright. The one-page profile of Aising will follow within the next day.

Friday will be a return to Threadbinders which should be fun, as we start to see a bit of the bigger world. And next Tuesday will continue QT: Phil's Tale, which will set the stage as to why Linda is exactly as paranoid as she is. A week from Friday will be the second piece of Brewster's Brood for the month. 

I picked up another commission, which is a delight, but means there's a load of writing to get done this month. Exciting stuff, though, because this commission will also be made available to all subscribers, and it's also set in the Quaranteam universe, and it's definitely going to give people a very different view of what's going on. The commissioner will get the first part of it this month, and subscribers will get it next month, with the general public getting to see it late in the year.

Speaking of commissions, you'll see the next chapter of QT: Piper's Prelude on 6/24 as that story continues its long dark descent into the personal hell of one character. I'm about to start writing part 4 for general consumption next month with a sense of trepidation, as I anticipate it to be the darkest thing I've written here yet. It's one of the things I hope to get done over the weekend.

For tier 4s and up, the poll on what I'm writing for 6/21 will go up tomorrow. Lots of options to go there - will it be another chapter of Mr. Magpie? If I'm Honest? Morgana's Gift? The new sci-fi piece I've slowly been developing on the sly? The voting tiers decide and I abide.

Also, a bit of a slight advance note - I will be traveling internationally late during the month of August. As such, all the posts will likely be prepped in advance and I won't be able to do edits while I'm in transit (which I will be for most of a week - lots of getting to a place, doing a thing, then leaving almost immediately) so be aware that's going to affect how August plays out, most notably that August will only have one mainline chapter of Quaranteam in it, so I can make sure that when Chapter 50 drops in September, and closes off Book One, it feels like a good solid place to end the first phase, but still has a good stinger at the end to bring people back for Book Two. We'll talk more about how that month will look as we get closer, but I wanted to let people know nice and early before we got there.
