Weekly Update - 4/2/25

Well, we're getting there. I'm doing what I can to bring things back up to being in line again, and step by step, we're making progress. Just a little shy of a full month's worth of deliveries, and we'll see if I can keep pushing more towards getting things in line. One thing I will tell you is that I'm taking about an hour a day each day to try and go for a walk now, as friends of mine have been telling me I've been spending too much time sitting in my chair working, and they were starting to get worried about my health, and I hate to say, they're probably right. I need to get out of the chair and just go for walks more, so I'm going to endeavor to do that.

The next thing out of the gate will be the next chapter of Phil's Tale, which I'm working on as we speak. We will probably follow that up with another QT2 chapter, but we'll see how the mind's going. I'm running Magic: The Gathering prereleases this weekend as a judge, so that'll eat up Friday and Saturday. The What Am I Writing poll for 4/11 is currently split between Threadbinders and Before the Storm, with a few days left, so remember to vote if you're of the voting tier.

Also, I see a handful of you have already taken the opportunity to switch over to a yearly subscription at a discounted rate, and I appreciate the good faith. Patreon's been suggesting I turn on yearly subscriptions for a while now, and I've been a little leery about it, but I figured I'd give it a go and see if anyone was interested. Considering I think half a dozen people switched over to it within the first 48 hours of me turning it on must mean there's interest in that, so thank you kindly for the support.

We're also about 10-15 new subscribers shy of me needing to put out a new version of the QT Visual Guide (or maybe half a dozen people moving to the voting tier) so I've been working on that in the background, taking a few minutes here and there to throw in images of who I might cast for individual people. The document's grown in leaps and bounds already. It'll hit when it hits but know that it's coming soon enough.

I usually know one month in every six is going to be zoo-ish before I get to it, and this year, that's going to be July, just a heads up. I'll be on planes quite a bit (and out of the country at least once) so I'll try and get some writing done then, but we'll see how it goes. Swings and roundabouts.

 And, as always, here's the upcoming public schedule for the next month or so: 4/5 - Smokeland Slumdance 1, QT:PT 21; 4/12 - Neon Stonehenge 10; 4/19 - QT2:30; 4/26 - CARP 11; 5/3 - Pack 14, QT2:i6.

He's flying overseas, which limits the amount of time one can spend on trains...

Glad you are getting out for that walk. I am less pleased about you taking a plane. Flying was once considered safe, but with the many crashes, won't a train be safer? But, if you do take a plane, sign up for the max insurance. I will, if I have to fly to AZ for my granddaughter's wedding in Aug. And as always, Stay Safe & Well. Transmitted from The USS Carnes.

There are five Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in July, if that helps any, Devin! ;-)
