Weekly Update - 9/24/25

So, how about that Intermission (2:i9), huh? Huh? Crazy, right? I know. It's been in the works for quite a while - I knew I wanted to come back to Billy again, and I wanted to wait until the very end before I did it, because I wanted to make sure it had the impact it needed. I also realized why things are getting a bit harder for me to get to the page right now - we're nearing the end of Book Two, and so there's a lot more pressure to get it to land right, as we're getting close to crossing the halfway point of the Quaranteam Project. So I'm going to try and be a little less hard on myself as I'm trying to dig myself out of this hole and get back on track. Endings are tricky.

Everyone, remember to cast your vote in the poll for our anniversary. It's free, it costs you nothing, and it helps me figure out which stories are working best. Only about a quarter of you have cast a vote yet, so get in there!

Next week, I am absolutely going to see Tron: Ares, because I have had the soundtrack on repeat for the last several days, and NIN are killing it, which is impressive, since new albums from both Biffy Clyro and Motion City Soundtrack ALSO dropped on the same day. So I've been enjoying a lot of great new music lately.

I'm going to go see Sleep Token live in a few weeks, so that's pretty exciting, although my favorite song of theirs, "Euclid," isn't currently on their touring setlist, which is a little bit of a bummer, but we'll see how the show is. I have not had great experience with Oracle Arena up in Oakland, but we'll try and keep an open mind about it.

I'm also going to spend a good part of the next couple of days finishing doing the edit pass for the print version of Neon Stonehenge, which got derailed by me not getting it done in time for my class reunion a few weeks back.

Public releases in coming weeks: 9/27 - Merlin's Gift 1, QT2:37; 10/4 - QTUM 7, BTS 16; 10/11 - Merlin's Gift 2; 10/18 - Pack 17; 10/25 - QT2:38.

Anyway, that's where we are, and Jimmy Kimmel got reinstated to television. So there's signs of hope. Your voice DOES matter. Never forget that.
