General announcement for January!

Hey yall! Time for a big announcement about some upcoming changes and events!

First and foremost, we would like to thank all of you patrons for your incredible support these past few months. Thanks to your contributions, we are able to dedicate our full efforts to the project and pack each update with tons of new content. We love working on this project, and we love working with you, so thank you for this wonderful opportunity.

Now then, with the sappy stuff out of the way, lets get to some celebrations!

First up, as a milestone reward for passing 2k in pledged supporters, we will be hosting a YCH raffle on Patreon! This YCH will be open to everyone of any tier, and will serve as our way of thanking you guys. The YCH has one slot, and it will be for a tertiary npc (a yet to be named guard) that shows up in the draconoclaste flashback scenes. That's right! This isn't a background slot! Your character will show up right next to all of the others. As it sounds, there will only be one winner for this YCH, and no payment necessary. The standard rules for all of our YCH’s apply, but we will be going into more detail when the YCH goes live, which will open on the 10th at 12pm MST, and run until 12pm MST on the 13th

Next we are happy to announce that Role play will be opening up again over on discord on the 7th! Bring a character of your own and throw them into a transformative battle royale hosted on the very same island the game takes place on. If you would like to participate, please join the discord and give a careful reading of our server and role play rules!:

After that, we have another YCH, this one for the Courtyard background. We will be releasing the details on that one soon, but it should be around 5-6 slots. That one will be going up on the 15th 12pm MST. It will close once all of the slots are filled, so first come first serve! If slots have filled and you would still like a chance at one, simply comment in the post that you would like to purchase a dropout slot, and if any buyers drop out, you will be able to fill their place. The YCH poses will be previewed on the discord server a day or so before the post goes public if you'd like an early look.

Next up is some bad/good news. You guys may or may not be aware that we have had some issues with piracy. To counteract this, we have decided to put a few things in place:

• First off, all art previews from this point forward will happen on our discord server. If you are a knight, or lord/lady, we recommend you join the discord in order to see these posts. This not only dodges the patreon leaks, but also lets us post much quicker.
• Next month, we will be looking into an itch.io-patreon integration. This will allow us to upload the game files to itch.io rather than google drive, and lock the content so that only patreon accounts can download the new versions. We will be testing out this option tentatively, and depending on how the community reacts we will consider using it moving forward. Our main concern is that it will malfunction and block folks from accessing it, so for this test update, we ask for your patience and we promise to send you copies of the game personally if the integration doesn't work for you. We will keep you posted on these details as we learn about them!

Lastly, we're just gonna cover the polls for this update! Let yall know about what you can vote for and such.
