Jim. It was Jim who always ended up taking the venomous snake’s temperature with a rectal thermometer while Marlin Perkins narrated. I think ol Marlin could have taken on David Attenborough when they were both in their prime. “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom.” Sundays before Walt Disney.

2025-06-12 16:48:19 +0000 UTCDavid Attenbourrough is a much undermined field. Back before David we had a show called "Wild Kingdom". I remember the quite old host saying "Joe wrestles the wild bore while I hide in the bushes." Not sure if he really said that, but in my mind he says nothing else.

2025-05-26 13:07:28 +0000 UTCThis strip took me on an emotional roller coaster of laughter. Didn't even see the twist ending. This alone is worth $1. If there were a super deluxe $2 tier (twice as much), I would totes join, considering how much I loved the woodworking strip too.
