Added 2024-06-07 14:10:59 +0000 UTCWe dropped off just a squad of specialists into none contested outdoor zone pretty far from our op base.
The ZT didn't have the range to make it all the way back so we landed at Sector East to charge up for the pickup.
The girls we dropped off were kitted out big time. Weapons I hadnt seen before, gas masks, helmets, flats.
They had some cases with them and were pretty snappy too.
We had a timeout of 4 hours to go back if we didn't get comes from them for pickup.
At 3 hours 45 we were told to get back in the air and head there.
When we got over the LZ we circled, but could only see their bodies laying as though they were expended.
Pilot was ordered to land and we had to recover the cases. They were empty.
When we got down there they were wrapped up by thin tentacles coming through the ground. The ground had softened since our landing and they were sinking in, slowly.
They had gas lines attached and were quite calm.
We had orders to leave them and we got air borne, leaving them behind.
This place can be crazy sometimes.
