Yes! The dog is a great example - short term thinking. Now that I think back on it, it is a pattern of his. Like you say, they do a great job at manipulating our emotional reactions. I know I'm super susceptible and I think I need to learn to let go a bit better haha

He thought he had enough leverage by hacking Issac's phone. The jail break is a good indicator that Elliot focuses more on solving the problem at hand without thinking through the consequenses. The Trolly Problem is a good reference. Had not thought about it before, but the dog is another instance of Elliot trying to do the right thing, but not thinking it through properly. Mr. Robot does things with the camera to manipulate peoples reactions, but most probably don't realize why they are uncomfortable. It was interesting to hear you break down what they were doing.
