Hahaha I don't even remember saying that about Darlene! Too funny. And wow, okay I totally missed Angela participating in the distraction so thank you. Also thanks for clearing up all the other stuff! Using a bunch of different voices makes sense... keeping the mystery alive!

2025-03-23 03:03:07 +0000 UTCIn my mind, any time I see Mr. Robot having a one on one, I assume it's Elliot "masquerading" as Mr. Robot. It's usually in a situation like with Tyrell where bravado and confidence are required. Because I know Elliot is unreliable, I've already made a lot of mental leaps that some connections already exist. So because Tyrell saw what Elliot did in the meeting in the first (or 2nd) episode and didn't say anything, and because the car meeting took place on the heels of his meeting with Gideon, it didn't surprise me to see Tyrell was in on it. Besides the fact that he's a total nut job himself haha

2025-03-23 02:59:42 +0000 UTCI remember losing my mind the first time watching this when Darlene and Angela turned out to know each other, and when Mr Robot was meeting with Tyrell. The dance class was when I first suspected Darlene was related to one of them.

Don't recall you mentioning that you thought Mr Robot was based on his father, but totally believe it. Ollie (Angela's ex) met with Cisco (Darlene's ex) who is blackmailing them and told Ollie that he had to do something for the Dark Army (set the meeting). Cisco and Whiterose are with Dark Army (the Chinese hacking group). Elliot's group is FSociety. Glad that you spotted BD Wong. Yes, he is playing a role. He was in several shows around this time that really made me sit up and take notice of him as an actor. Angela was the one setting up the distraction with the masked video, but they put different actors physically and verbally behind the masked figure to keep us guessing, so it would not surprise me if they used BD Wong's voice there.
