Psion's Psonics Attribute.
Added 2019-05-18 06:53:39 +0000 UTCAll of the subclasses for Psion currently use Intelligence for their spell casting stat. A few people have requested making the spell casting stat more variable for the subclasses, and admittely I'm pretty torn on the subject, so I'm making a poll!
The Idea: Awakened = Intelligence, Unleashed = Charisma, Transcended = Wisdom.
The Pro: Gives the subclasses more variety and identity, as well as enables more classic build. There's a certain thematic appropriateness to the selections. People seem to want it.
The Con: Intelligence is already under represented, and taking Psionics away (partially) from it leaves less Intelligence priority in the game. I also feel this makes it a bit too much like magic if it can be controlled by Charisma or Wisdom, and possible treads on the feet of potential subclasses for classes using those casting stats.
The Counter to the Cons (and why I making this poll): With Artificer, i don't think Intelligence is actually under-represented anymore. Githzarai monks have always used Wisdom to control Psionics, so it seems natural. Unleashed being Charisma fits with it being innate power and seems appropriate. Transcended basically screams Wisdom based.

And here we are a week later with the poll 14/14... dead even. Well, that doesn't really make the decision any easier :) I will probably include variable stats as a variant feature for the next version, so people can go with whatever they voted for. Will consider further... did not expect to end up with a tie.

2019-05-27 23:59:05 +0000 UTCIntelligence is underrepresented if you're using Core only + your Psion. Mix in some other homebrew (as I'm sure a good portion of this Patreon uses homebrew extensively), and Intelligence is pretty well represented.
