Stormcharged Property for Thundersmith weapons: Do we like it?
Added 2019-11-18 19:34:56 +0000 UTCI've been struggling with this one for a few days, so I figured I'd turn to patreon to get your opinion on the matter.
I've introduced a new feature as part of the Thundersmith weapons called Stormcharged in the expanded toolbox. This replaces and loading property and reads:
Stormcharged.
When you use an action, bonus action, or reaction to attack with a Stormcharged Weapon, you can make only one Attack regardless of the number of attacks you can normally make. If you could otherwise make additional attacks with that action, the weapon deals an additional 3d6 lightning or thunder damage per attack that was foregone.

the point of this property is allow Stormforged weapons to work with multiclassing and CDK as otherwise they are terrible in those cases due to only attacking once. I initially considered just removing the loading property, but that feels wrong - especially for Thunder Cannon/Hand Cannon where shooting once and doing a lot of damage makes a lot of sense.
But the question that remains in my mind is "should this apply to the melee weapons"? Is any of this a good idea?

I feel like this would be a Fighter weapon since they get more attacks. Thinking of a Divine Smite-esque mechanic
