Crafting 1.0: It's here, and it's brought a working Table of Contents

So, it's got more than just a working table of contents and book marks, but let's be honest... those are the important innovations. This the crafting system fully re-done in the new book format. It probably looks pretty similar (hopefully) but you'll notice some improvements, particularly.

There's a good number of updates here, including everything being a little fleshed out, some errors fixed, and some layout and navigation improvements. But it's not quite done. There's a little more to do, and a lot of editing left before this is what is going to be printed on dead trees, but folks, we are getting places.

PDF (Google Drive)

PDF (Dropbox)

Spreadsheet (Google Sheets - Download and Import into Google Sheets).

The GMBinder version will be, for the time being, depreciated. The PDF here is the new hotness. I may bring back the GMBinder version, but it's very difficult to have both versions maintained now as they'd need to be done in parallel, so for the time being... PDF it is.

This version is still pre-professional editing blokes, but if you want to submit any corrections, feel free to add them to the copy edit sheet. In particular if there's missing items or obvious errors. I have fixed all the previously submitted ones with the this version.

I also welcome any general feedback. You can leave it here, Discord, or on the reddit post here.

Good luck, and craft many things!

Fabricate doesn't really interact with crafting - it's sort of an alternate route, really. It still exists and does what it does, but doesn't really tie into crafting in any normal way. It's a way to use magic to skip crafting in a limited capacity.

I got a question about a spell that seems to have gone unnoticed (at least in this version, I joined very recently) - what about the fabricate spell? How does it function in the context of this guide?

In general; the Inventor gets a large boost to crafting using this system from getting Tool Expertise, so their magical crafting bonuses aren't as vital, as they already get their advantage represented by expertise in tools actually mattering for this system.

I'm curious how the crafting rules, especially of time interact with the "Improved Magical Crafting" ability from the Inventor, the half time is simple, but does the "You can complete 1 hour of crafting during a long rest" become useless?
