Kibbles' Compendium of Craft and Creation v1.2.1

Hey Folks-

This is the 1.1.3 version of the casting compendium. Going to go ahead and make a new post for this instead of just update the old post. This is not an expansion or new content, just corrections and updates. This is largely to just bring it up to date with the version getting printed.

It's still not perfect, but it fixes the majority of the issues pointed out so far in the Copy Edit sheet. There's a few items without crafting recipes and some other things like that.

There will be future updates, and some of those will add content for various subsystems, but this should be a pretty complete summary of the content in the book at this point.

Note: this is a barebones beta module that currently only has the subclasses, spells, feats, races, etc. It does not yet have the classes. This will be updated to in the future.

Not really sure; I cannot see any difference looking at it myself. My only guess is maybe they are optimized for different versions of PDF readers; I think my newer PDFs are optimized for newer versions of PDF readers, but I'm not sure really sure. The changes between 1.1.3 and 1.2.1 are pretty minor, so if 1.1.3 works better for you, you can probably keep using that without too much issue.

im unsure why but this new version of the crafting compendium seems to take a age to load has there been any changes to like image quality or sizes or such because my old version 1.1.3 loads really fast but this versions 1.2.1_cc loads reallllyy slow

Hey, just reading through the compendium of craft! Great stuff 👍 I think appendix D and E may be missing from the PDF though.. was trying to find the exotic ingredients mentioned in the cooking section but can't find the correct appendix..

Hey; it looks like at some point it was renamed to Order of the Unknown and is on page 113, but various external lists never got updated with the newer name. It's the Psionics focused Wizard I believe.

KibblesTasty

hey mate, i found your list and there is a Wizard - Order of Mystery, the link leads me here but i cant find it in the PDF. did i miss it, or where do i find this one? also i allready love your work, please keep going :D

I do have a question regarding how the spell Fabricate works with this crafting system: With an ingot of mithril and proficiency in smithing, a caster could, with little effort, replicate a craft of a mithril rapier. I suppose the caveat is that it cannot be Masterwork, but that raises questions of if you could, using this spell, modify an item, IE by making something Elven, Dwarven, spiked, Slotted, etc with Fabricate. I am curious if there are any limitations or if Fabricate operates entirely separate of this system. I do quite enjoy the crafting compendium, even if my DM sometimes suffers for it.

Two questions: 1. What are the differences between the more recently updated Casting Compendium and the spells in this compendium? In a similar vein, differences between crafting 1.06 and crafting in this compendium? 2, For the spells in this compendium, is there a spell list for classes other than the ones in the compendium? I didn't see any of the base class spell lists, unless I missed something.

ah, ok thanks

Everything in it is up to date, but this is just a collection of what was in the Kickstarter, and doesn't include everything. Occultist, Warlord, and Warden, for example, are standalone things until they are collected into the next Compendium.

KibblesTasty

Does this compendium contain all your Homebrew completely up to date, or is there stuff I have to download separately?

Thanks for the clarification!

These are intended. Mostly seen in Force damage spells, there are some spells that just work. They do reduced damage compared to their spell slot level (or have other limitations), but are reliable, being unable to fail. Lightning Tendril is a bit of a rare example of one that isn't Force, as it's a bit of a revamped Witch Bolt. As Witch Bolt isn't very good, it's sort of a buffed version of that, without requiring the initial hit and not ending as easily, but has pretty limited range. Effectively Lighting Tendril gives you an cantrip that cannot miss at the cost of your a spell slot and your concentration (which is a pretty steep cost, really). Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions; always happy to help if I can.

KibblesTasty

Is Lightning Tendril not supposed to have an attack roll or saving throw? I've noticed a couple spells seem to lack them and am wondering if that's a design decision.
