February Update

I did want to put up an update post this month just to keep folks in the loop, but things have been a bit odd this month.

The good news is that the OGL Crisis has been resolved, and we won. 5e is under the creative commons and that means a lot of good things for the future. The bad news is that in the month of turmoil, frankly a lot of things I'd planned to get done I didn't.

But a lot of other stuff has gotten pushed. I'll now be working to catch up on that, but I'm definitely somewhat behind, spending last month entirely too much on lawyers and Twitter (too great evils of the world bent to doing good last month...), and of course getting the Kickstarter ready in hurry, as I was worried the window to launch it would close.

In brief because I've said I'd talk about it but never really did, with the way things are I plan to keep making stuff for 5e. I may work on some system agnostic stuff, but from my point of view, 5e is basically our game now, and to me that's the best possible outcome - there's a lot I'd like to do with it. Here's what I see in the future:

None of those are the future of the patreon, just what I feel like I'll be looking for in the creative commons license and 5e.

As for the regular updates, honestly half the things are just the things I wanted to do next month, but here's what I hope to get to this month:

I don't think there's too much I should promise at the moment more than that, but I do hope to get more done, but I think this is one of those months where I just need to crack away at things and see where I can get. I'd expect a pretty healthy update of what we have at the end of the month.

Anyway... hell of a start to the year folks, but fortunately we can leave Wizards and lawyers behind and get back to making stuff for playing fun games.

All the best,

-Kibbles

Figures. Thanks for the info though. Don't suppose anyone knows something like DnD Beyond that would work better with the new ones?

Unfortunately D&D Beyond does not support 3rd party classes, so there's no easy way. Some folks have done various work arounds, but there's no official/convenient way to do it.

This might be a dumb question, but, on the subject of the new classes, is there a way to use them with DnD Beyond? I couldn't find a way, but I might just be blind I figure.
