Village Expansions: New Buildings

The map expansions are progressing nicely, here's for example one of the new Village buildings / apartments which is kind of iconic old house shape in Finnish towns.

2024-07-21 12:13:31 +0000 UTCGlass windows are one of those nuanced development topics that are quite a time sink since adding them would need atleast: - Glass shaders / good reflections - Transparency rendering and setting rendering order "rules" - Glass break audio / SFX - Glass break particles / VFX - Broken glass footstep SFX - Glass shatter system or rigidbody physics for shatter pieces - Bullet penetration for player when shooting AI through glass - Bullet penetration for AI when shooting player through glass - AI sensor update, so they could see through glass in general. - Scoped optics overhaul since they currently don't support looking through fully transparent objects. - A glass spawn system / state randomizer (missing/broken/clean) since you don't want a post-apocalyptic game to have nice looking glass in every window. So adding windows / glass to the game and making them somewhat realistic suddenly requires huge number of additional tasks that in this development phase doesn't make sense since there's so much more important tasks to do. But windows and glass will be added to the game still at some point when there's a good time for me to make all those glass related features :)

2024-07-20 15:15:35 +0000 UTCCool! Question about the ladder. Is it typical for non-parallel legs? And if so, does the narrow end typically end up on the ground? I've never seen this arrangement. Curious.
