Voucher System

Thanks a TON to Kirbutashi for helping me put this together.

There's a snazzy, really well designed graphic explaining everything, and in general how it works. This isn't quite permanent yet, and it may need some tweaking, but maybe it'll work for everyone?

Here's the submission for for cashing in Vouchers: http://goo.gl/FQ092v

Here's the place to check your current remaining voichers and your spending history: http://goo.gl/3nG0dr

I'll also probably only be doing a certain amount of drawings a month, depending on how complex they are.

I'd also like to set a monthly theme, and give a discount or something if things fall in line with that theme, but that's something I'll figure out later. I needed to get this posted before it's too late to back out if you don't like it ;w;

Voucher System

FYI, you don't need vouchers to vote or contribute to project ideas. It's just to give yourself a leg up if you like.

You refuse to catch what I am telling you 2 vouchers per tier would be an actual balance because 1. it would focus alot on either getting art or spending it on votes, It helps with the actual choice instead of literally Just having art as a main focus, because participation in projects is what we mainly want as well. You are giving assumptions that 2 vouchers per tier is alot, but I'm telling you it's not 3 vouchers per tier is actually bad when I come back to think of it. It puts more strain on you because you can get multiple people asking for sketches each month, but with just 2 they can wait literally 2 months to save, and with the 40 dollar tier they could also wait as well so they can get better rewards just because I have like 16 bucks doesn't mean I want to actually spend it on just getting this type of art. Thinking about it this way not everyone wants to spend it on art because you have to ration what you get, and save up on what you really want, Like say wanting to save up on a color commission, but still have some vouchers to want to vote on something as well, and pick projects most of your V's will be spent on the commission, and you would have to wait another month. I'm literally telling you with just 2 vouchers per tier will not screw you over. You rarely take my advice I mean barely, but I really want the suggestions you ask for to be heard on this one. Do you really think 2 vouchers is pushing it? I mean seriously it will do more good then bad, and won't stress you out, and more actual projects you would like to involve us in the better chances that our vouchers will go towards said projects, and who knows try experimenting with themes your patrons like, and maybe list them, and pick out ones you would do each month. Ball is in your court min all I'm saying is that it would be a balance, and not a burden.

Why should 5 dollars entitle you to 2 vouchers? What is this entitlement based on? Like I said before, the point of Patreon isn't to get tons of free art from me, it's to support me as an artist while being rewarded. The primary reward is the monthly project, and being able to participate in determining what it is. The secondary reward is personalized art. The changes make personalized art a secondary reward - the only way to get commission-grade art every month is to pledge high, because you're not *just* getting the art reward, you're also getting the projects. If The amount of money you put in as a supporter gave you vouchers that were equivalent to the amount of money you'd pay for a commission, why would I even have a Patreon? I might as well just do commissions, because I'd be creating more work for myself.

It's true, but not everyone wants art specifically from you you lower the amount of tickets which makes what we pay for literally worthless I would feel taken aback because if I spent 5 dollars I should be entitled to at least 2 vouchers. So I have a fair enough chance to vote on something. The vouchers are literally unbalanced, because people would barely get anything even the right to vote with those little amount of vouchers you give out I suggested 2 for 5 because of this. okay let me set an example to get you straight. I'm at 20 dollar tier with 4 vouchers I want to basically save up for the next month for 8 vouchers in which will just give me a doodle that I can spend I'll only have like 3 vouchers left over. Having to wait 3 months for a full sketch is tiresome to me, and don't give me hardly any options to swing my way to giving ideas as well. Now I'm at 20 dollar tier with 8+1extra voucher I could maybe by a small simple doodle, or just wait like 2 months for a sketch, and still have vouchers left over to vote for some things I would like to see which would balance me getting something out of it, and also me giving support, on what I want to vote on meaning I've used my money well, and abided my time because the voucher system was well balanced regards to how much I put down. This is what I'm saying waiting 3 months for a sketch seems unreasonable for the 20 dollar tier, while just waiting for 2 months for a sketch is good plus I get to either still vote, and wait on what projects I want to try which gives me the drive to save more, and continue to support. And just like the 40 dollar tier you only get 10 vouchers that you pay 40 bucks with. If you want an image for it you give up those 10 but you get sol when you don't get the chance to vote on things as well, so 18 vouchers would give it a balance to both spend for art, and maybe steer your vouchers for ideas, and votes.

That's a good idea! And thanks, Kirbutashi designed them based on my company logo.

But the support isn't supposed to be for getting art! The support is supposed to be because you like my art! and because you want to see what I'll make every month.

Voucher system is already unbalanced here is a more appropriate list since you are going in the money value's of 5 start from here. 2 for 5 4 for 10 6 for 15 8+1extra for 20 16+2extra for 40 Or 3 for 5 6 for 10 9 for 15 12+1 for 20 24+2 for 40 I'm more for 2 for 5, and up This list is more balanced with the appropriate pricing that is listed above. You are giving the lowest value of vouchers that underseas the cost of which they are supporting you by.
