FAPP Rotgut Rampage Cover
Added 2020-07-02 21:56:11 +0000 UTCIt's been a while since I posted. I've been pretty busy working on Fapp art as of late. This is my magnum opus, the cover of the new core book for Fapp 3rd Edition.
The cover features two of the new iconics, Gemma and Xan Xi, contending with the tribe of Rotgut gnolls. Gemma is showing a squirming male gnoll her favorite tentacle tricks, and Xan is trying to retain his composure after being wrestled down and smothered under a big lady gnoll's musky paw.
In the background we have two gnolls enjoying a spitroast of one of the captives kidnapped from the nearby town of Adenium. She'll be tastier after being steamed in the Rotgut beer boiling under her.
In the far back, we have Big Papa Rotgut watching on eagerly, flanked on either side by two captives from adenium who have been thoroughly bloated on his beer. If you look closely at their tails you can see them starting to gnollify already.
This is the first time I've done something this big, and I'm surprised with how well it came out. I'm most proud of the rim lighting on the gnoll getting tentacle'd. The blue glow from underneath looks really great on him.
I'm including a timelapse of of the creation of the picture. It's pretty long, but if you want to see how I work, it might be a fun watch.
