Fapp Ladies Sketches
Added 2020-05-02 16:59:16 +0000 UTCThese are some of the preliminary sketches for the Gynomorphs of Fapp. Monoka is the one I spent the most time on. I wanted her to be toriel-esque without being too much. I was considering going cow, but I ended up leaning harder into goat.
I played with having her be a worshipper of Mother, the goddess of life, but her domain is a little weird and gross, and not super motherly. She cares for all life, which means bacteria and fungal growth is a big part of it. That's the reason one of the sketches has her with a big plant arm.
Ultimately I went with Salem the Care Giver, since her symbol is a bottle of milk, and her entire portfolio is motherly things.
The other page of sketches is just the roughs for each of the other iconic gal-bodied characters, except Gemma. After Ash I stopped doing thumbnails for them. I tend to design characters as I draw them, so it worked out.
