Back on schedule!!

This was an interesting comic to come back to!! In particular, Kip and Mason's apartment has one of the color palettes I'm most happy with in the series, but going back to looks at it, It hadn't grown on me as much as it used to. If you compare it directly with the colors that were previously used, I've saturated a lot of the colors a lot more (this is generally true with most of the comics) and added a lot more contrast in areas there needed it like the gray wall behind kip and the black in Mason's fur.

I was struggling to figure out how to denote Kip's different intonation as they sang the lyrics, and I settled on using different hand lettering! I really like how it came out, although I'm not entirely sure how well it'd read if I did a full song in this style, since the change in font feels a little jarring to me. Also, it's really hard to write cleanly on a drawing tablet.

There are some cute little details I'm really fond of in this comic as well! Kip is wearing the same neck bandana they wore the last time they played music in front of Mason and has the flower Mason gave them from a previous comic in a water bottle behind them. Mason is also wearing a short-sleeved shirt for the first time in the comic I think? And there's a little rubber duck on the end of Kip's super short bed.

My absolute favorite detail, though, is the fact that Kip is recording the song on audacity on their dingy little laptop.

Also, a little Patreon exclusive tidbit for you guys! Over the next month or two, there's going to be a huge influx of Kip and Mason comics, since I've gotten tired of teasing these two for 2 years! So I hope you're all looking forward to seeing their relationship develop over the next few comics!
