Added 2023-08-30 22:33:36 +0000 UTCI've paused billing again this month because I'm getting ready to unpublish my page. I still plan to post that final story I mentioned in last month's billing pause announcement, so you'll get one last round before I go. I'm sure you're wondering why. There are several reasons:
1. I've been posting one or two new stories every month for the past four years, and I'm honestly getting kind of burned out. I want sitting down to write to be a pleasure, not a chore.
2. With the new 1099 laws going into effect this year, I'll have to pay taxes if I earn more than $600. I'm already earning at most 1/10th of the hourly rate of my day job with my writing, and often as little as 1/20th. Taxes (along with the necessity to pay to file self-employment taxes) will cut into that even more.
3. For most of the past year, one of my patrons has been giving a certain furry site access to all my stuff. My entire page gets scraped every couple weeks, so anyone who uses that site has no reason to subscribe to my Patreon.
I'll leave the page up until September 30 or so, and I'll try to get the new story published a couple weeks before that. I'll still keep writing, but most likely not as much. You can watch my FurAffinity account for new stuff once the early-access period has elapsed on what I've published here.
I want to thank you for being willing to pay me for early access to my stories. It's really touching that you appreciate my writing enough to send some money my way each month.
