It's very obvious that even at chapter 4, this is very early in development. So much story could be written based on what's here already. So, I have to give props for reeling in the reader. But not being able to see scenes just because I'm not a patron is pretty shitty. Would be understandable to gain update access at later times because of it, but withholding scenes is just a dick move. I'm willing to spend a extra money for the game if it's a good one. Even spend more at each update if I like it well enough. This is one I'd donate extra to at the next update. But a monthly fee to get it? Evil. Should have just made it a mandatory price on itch.io for the extra content.
