First look at the new GUI

Hey guys, just a little update. Here's the first mock up of the new GUI that will be coming with the Vol. 1 beta. In general I like it but there's quite a few changes yet to come. The logo is just a placeholder too, don't worry.

In case you're morbidly curious, here's the feedback I gave to the artist and the corrections I asked for:

"I think it’s definitely heading in the right direction, just a few things I’d like changed:

1) I think color wise, the pallet should be more purple/white/black with a lighter blue as an accent color. Yellow and orange should be used very sparingly. I’ve attached my current title splash screen for reference as I think it’s got the color balance I’m looking for. The purple I’m thinking of is a bit more pink than the orange-ish maroon used in the textbox and settings.

2) The font for the logo and menu titles (settings, save, etc) should be blockier and probably done in a light blue/white gradient. Again, the current title splash screen is *sort of* in the direction of what I’m looking for, but don’t feel too restricted by it.

3) I like the choices screen quite a bit, my only comment is less of a change and more of a warning that the game routinely provides the reader with 5 or more choices on one screen, so the buttons may need to be resized accordingly. I’ve provided a screenshot of one of these just in case it might be useful.

But yeah, I definitely like where this GUI is going. I like the idea of a colored gradient textbox and the menu buttons on the textbox look good. History screen is well laid out, I like the transparency on the left and right of the screen. The grid patterns everywhere are exactly the shape and size I was imagining. The settings, main menu and save buttons all look very good and have the right kind of style."
