So I have had this video laying for a while - sadly i had major sound issues on this one & therefore i had a really high tech editor to have a look at it and this is what he got around to in the end. I, myself, is a really bad judge of my own videos & my own sound quality..

Finally got around to listen to it too, tbh i still really like the video. But in the first version it feels like removing the background noise (i'm assuming thats what the editor did?) makes it feel a bit bland at times. In the second version i like that a lot better and tbh i dont mind a bit of backgroundnoise anyway because it keeps my adhd brain from getting distracted if that makes sense?

2024-02-26 15:00:34 +0000 UTC1st one has less BG but the trigger sounds bad imo, it sounds like the lower frequencies are too low in volume. 2nd one the BG is more noticable, which I personally dont mind and the trigger sounds a lot better

2024-02-26 13:59:07 +0000 UTCI think second video sounds better (I couldn't listen to the first one for more than 10 seconds), but both of them sounds bad to me, like if I was listening with a crappy headphones and at low bitrate. I'm comparing it to VOD from live performance from May 2023: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1811927803?t=0h10m35s I'm afraid this is beyond salvageable kaatCry Edit: Actually… I just listened again to both video and they now seems OK to me. It helps when I adjust volume to match what's in the VOD

2024-02-26 11:59:10 +0000 UTCI preferred the 2nd video. There seems to be a bit of a trade-off when removing the background noise in the 1st video. You hear less background noise to nearly none in the 1st one. But at the cost of also hearing less of everything else to the point I liked the 2nd one more.

It sounds like I could be in the same room with you as there is NO background noise at all - just the sounds of the trigger. The second one has a bit of a background noise - it's very low but it's detectable - I guess it's the sound of the mic just being open (if that makes sense). The first video does not have this at all. The trigger scratching seems more raw and not "smoothed" when compared to #2. For comparison, I used the next ten seconds after your eye-wink around the 53 second mark. So the next downstroke after the eye-wink. I preferred #1 to the more "filtered or processed or muted" sound of #2, if that makes any sense at all - finding it hard to put my impressions into words. :) I'll add that my first choice was #2 until I noticed the lack of bg noise in #1. After I picked up on that, I found it hard to listen to #2 in the same way and preferred #1. So I'll go for #1.

2024-02-26 02:31:16 +0000 UTCI'm only 4 minutes in. I like this one. I am noticing a difference though. It's not bad, its just difference. Most of your videos/scratches have like an echo, or a fade with them. This one doesn't have that. It still sounds good though, but is a diffferent sound. I'd post it, or I'd turn on a small echo/reverb to see if that changes your mind on it.

I would like to hear the original without any editing for the sound changes. It seems like the only thing that happened was the gain was turned way up because you can hear the hiss in the background.
