Secret Scenes? Demon King?

Yeah, that was a bad joke.

Anyways, todaaay I'd like to talk about something I've seen that has been widely requested.

With revamps and rewrites, it's only natural that not everything could cross over. This includes certain scenes like the one with Melia and Valarie in Aquamarine, or the scene with Melia, the player and Aelita in Terajuma Jungle, etc etc and etc.

Well, in v14, I've specifically revived those two scenes in the form of a new mechanic. Secret Scenes, but no demon king.

You will find new quest bubbles around Aevium that look like these. If you interact with them, you may unlock a secret scene. However! It is not so easy. These are friendship dependent. You have to reach a certain amount of friendship to view them. This one in particular is the scene with Melia, Aelita, and the player.

These scenes will delve deeper into the connection between certain characters and the player, and even characters intermingling with themselves! Once you unlock them you can view them as many times as you'd like. These have no bearing on the overall story, or help improve relationships with characters further [Ergo, you don't gain relationship points through these at any point.]

Essentially, it's extra content if you want it. Because it's extra, I think I'm going to have some of the scenes be on the longer end in terms of events. Who knows. Maybe I'll have exclusive battles and trades available with these scenes...

But Jan, what if you're way past this part? Having this scene play again would make no sense!
Well, if you wish to view a scene again far past the appropriate time, you still can!

you will simple reminisce on past events. I know, what a feature.

There probably won't be too many new ones scattered around; this is more of a make-as-I-go kinda thing. But I definitely want to make as many of these as is appropriate. Obviously, a lot of this has to come down to which characters are present, but I feel like I could be a little creative with it...

But with that being said, this may or may not be the final patreon post for a little while. I want to tackle the ending of paragon head on soon and that's going to need my full attention. Not to say you won't get one here and there, but... Y'know, be patient with me :).
