VIRGO Sketches

Continuing with the COSMOS Project, and now it's time for Virgo.

For Virgo, I thought a lot about the earth element, and the matters of the discipline in relation to perfectionism and the quality of what this sign is concerned with.
It is not a symbol of spontaneity or disorder... but of doctrine, planning and attention to what you do.

With that in mind, I imagined that the Virgo guy could express this discipline and grace in his gestures through Yoga.
"Nobody wakes up in a position like that"... there is an effort and attention in order to perform an asana.
And yet, here he performs it as if it were something simple ...

The twisted gesture seems to resemble the gesture I made for Gemini, as both this and Virgo are Mutable Signs, and both sons and Mercury (star of communication, exchange and learning).

I also tried to represent mutability through gestures (one hand on the ground and the other in the air) for both the Boy and the Virgo.

In my plans, this Guy will have ethnic Hindu features, with dark skin and hair.

I look forward to finishing this artwork.
