SECTION 1: Mission Statement, Schedule and Tier Information

Mission statement

My mission is to make your time in the illusion studio more productive, and to elevate your characters to greater heights through the creation of elegant poses, outfits and more. If you align with my beauty aesthetic, you are in for a treat!

Q: What is your release schedule?
A:
Each month, I release the following content:

10th: Pose pack (around 10 poses) for HS2/AI/HS1/Koikatsu/Playhome
15th: HS2 Character card of the month (Enthusiast Tier & up)
25th: Pose pack (around 10 poses) for HS2/AI/HS1/Koikatsu/Playhome
28th: Exclusive Pose Pack for HS2/AI/HS1/Koikatsu/Playhome (Supporter Tier & up)
Variable date: Exclusive mod(s) (Fashionista tier & up)
Variable date: Public mod(s) with a 30-day early access (Enthusiast tier & up)

Release of exclusive clothing and accessory mods are not on a fixed schedule because each mod requires wildly different amounts of time to complete (between 8-24 hours of work). I will try my best to produce at least one public and one exclusive mod each month, with the total mod count at 3-4 a month depending on what the mods are.

Q: Which character cards do I get access to in the Enthusiast tier?
A:
You will get access to all the characters that have been released so far 10+ for HS1 and 25+ for HS2. No character cards for Koi yet. As an added benefit, each month beginning Jan 2023 will feature a limited-time variant of an existing character which features a different outfit, hairstyle, and/or makeup. You can preview them by searching for their respective preview posts.

Q: What are exclusive card variants?
A: As added incentive for those who stay on, I create an addition "variant" card for the character of the month. This card is only included in the Patreon download package for 30 days. The variant will feature the same character as the base card, but with altered hair, makeup, and outfit which targets a different tone or theme.

After the 30-day period, exclusive variants are only available as part of the card packs sold individually on BOOTH.

Q: I am subscribed, where do I download the locked content?
A:
Thanks! Please go to the membership page and expand your welcome note to reveal the links!

If you cancel your sub before you use the download links, the welcome note (and the links contained within) will no longer appear for you in your membership tab. To fix this, simply re-subscribe to your tier, and the links will reappear. If you are still within 30 days of your original payment, Patreon will not charge you again. Once you have your links, you can cancel you sub again.

In some rare cases, going in out out of subbed status in a short span of time will confuse patreon, causing the welcome note to not show up at all, no matter what. In these cases, unsubbing entirely and removing your "follow" status of this patreon, and joining up again will do the trick.

Q: What are exclusive mods and skins?
A: Exclusive mods are clothing and accessory mods that I have created for my patrons of Fashionista tier and above. They exist to act as incentive to attract momentary support, as the running of this patreon has become a part-time job for me, and mods take a great deal of effort to produce! Those who subscribe will be treated with access to all previously released exclusive mods.

Section 2: Installation and Usage

Q: Where do I get the game?
A:
All of the supported games with preinstalled mods can be found at BetterRepack. Depending on your preference for realistic or anime, I recommend HoneySelect2 and Koikatsu respectively.

Q: What should I do first before installing your poses?
A:
Users of all games: Please go into your UserData\Studio\pose\ folder and delete any folders that contain "Freelancer604" in the name.

HoneySelect 2 Players: Please go to the HoneySelect2\mods\Sideloader Modpack\KKY folder and delete the [KKY] Bonus Bones v1.0.0.zipmod file. This mod will cause the poses to load incorrectly and is not necessary for natural-looking poses.

Q:
How do I install these poses, characters and mods?
A: Simply download the zip file for the game that you play, open, and drag the filders into your main game install directory (ex. C:\ProgramFiles\Honeyselect).

Q: How do I load the pose files?

A: In studio, go to the top left of the screen and find: "Anim" > "Kinematics" > "Pose" > "Freelancer604" all of the pose files are in their respective folders here. **FK poses are not accessible (yet) in the main game or in the character creator.

Q: How do I find your clothing and Accessory mods in-game?
A:
Please search "Freelancer604" under whichever clothing category you are looking to find my mods.

Section 3: Characters

Q: I what Character related content can I expect from the Enthusiast tier and above?
A: You can expect the following:

Q: How do I make use of your character's Expressions?
A:
Please refer to this post that I made regarding Blendshapes, expressions and makeup.

Q: HS2 Characters look different in my studio than what is shown in your posters.
A: The problem may be caused by one or more of the following:

1. Lighting Setup: If your lighting setup is drastically different from what I typically use, then certain character brighiness settings may need adjustment. Some key sliders are:

-Skin, Hair, Eye Color/brightness sliders
-Eye "test albedo" setting in material editor
-Eye white and shadow color

I typically use a low power IBL with a tri-light setup. If you use primarily IBL for your setups, this may apply to you. You can pick up my default studio setup in this post. It contains the lighting and Graphics Plugin settings. All of the posters that you see on this patreon were produced using some variation of that setup.

2. Graphics Mod Preset differences: Graphics mod will greatly change the appearance of characters, especially when it comes to their micro skin details and coloration. I have uploaded a copy of my general use scene setup for you to try. This is typically the lighting and graphics mod setup that I use when capturing my posters. Some key settings to look out for are:

3. Missing or Outdated Mods: A large part of why my characters look the way that they do is thanks to the shader and content mods that go into them. Be sure to check that you have the mods listed on the character's release post. This goes for both you and me actually. If you are sure that you have all the mods listed and things still look wrong, even after having taken into account #1 and 2 above, please contact me, as I may have an outdated mod myself or made an error somewhere.

Section 4: Mods

This section is all about my clothing and accessory mods. Some of my mods are free, barring a 30-day early access period for Enthusiast tier and above, but some mods are either exclusive to Fashionista tier, or have Fashionista tier exclusive variants.

Q: I do not see the download links to exclusive content?
A:
To access your early access or exclusive mods, please go to the main page of this patreon, then to your membership tab. Your download links are in your welcome note.

Your welcome note will not appear if you cancel your subscription before actually accessing your welcome note. If this happens to you, simply re-subscribe to your tier, and the links will re-appear. If you are still within 30 days of your original payment, Patreon will not charge you again. Once you have your links, you can cancel you sub again to prevent automatic billing next month.

In some rare cases, going in and out of subbed status in a short span of time will confuse patreon, causing the welcome note to not show up at all. In these cases, unsubbing entirely and removing your "follow" status of this patreon, and joining up again will fix the issue.

Q: Some of your mod items have a pronounced glitter effect, but it is not showing in my studio?
A:
The glitter can be made more prominent by enabling Bloom, amorphic flares, and Tilt Shift Bokeh in graphics mod settings (F5). Adding extra light sources to actually reflect light off the glittery surfaces will also help. Try adding some edge lights off to the side of your scene. In the absence of every single filter mentioned above, the glitter effect may be entirely absent under certain lighting conditions!

Tips For Using Simulated Cloth

Starting in April 2025, I began implementing simulated cloth into some HS2 clothing mods. Its a really cool effect, but it does not always behave. Here are some tips for using them:

Tips For Using Clothing with Skindentation

Starting in April 2025, I began using skindentation in some of my clothing mods. This seemlessly replaces a part of the character's body with a custom sculpted, more shapely form. If you character has very modest proportions (sub 40 breast size), the skindentation mesh may backfire, causing a crease in the middle of her chest. In this case, you can turn it off in mat editor. Go to 'Tops' and look for a mesh called 'Body Double Welded' and toggle it off.

Section 5: Trouble-shooting and general tips

Q: Why are your HS2 poses not in PNG format?
A:
I finalize my poses in HS2 and send them to the other games for conversion from there, therefore, the PNG format is not compatible with my production workflow. For those who prefer poses with previews attached, I have prepared VNGE files and included them with the download for HS2/HS1 and PH.

Q: Do you take commissions for custom poses?
A:
In short, No.

However, if you are a business or some other commercial interest who simply must have my poses for a project, the price is a somewhat prohibitive $25USD per pose.

Q: The feet are angled strangely, how do I fix it?
A: All my poses for HS1/2 are made for high heels, except for the ones with "BF" in their name. Depending on what high heel your character is wearing (or no heels at all), it may put your character's feet at a different angle. You can follow my move controller tutorial to make adjustments to the ankles. Also, please note that my HS1 poses are made for use with the "ankle adjust" feature turned on (it is off by default). Toggle on ankle adjust and this may just fix your ankle issues in HS1.

Q: The feet are angled strangely in HS2 even though my character is wearing high heels?
A: This is caused by the Bonus Bones Mod. If you use my poses frequently, consider deleting the mod in HoneySelect2\mods\Sideloader Modpack\KKY\[KKY] Bonus Bones v1.0.0.zipmod

Q: My model is shaking or sliding around after loading the pose. How do I stop it?
A: This happens because some of the FK poses use a moving animation as a base. Select your character and go to the top left of the screen and find: "Anim" > "Animations" > dial the animation speed to zero > reload the pose.

Q: In Koikatsu, my character disappears when I load a pose!
A:
Please go to Kinematics>FK and set the height adjust value to zero.

Q: Do you release poses for the new Roomgirl game?
A:
I will begin uploading for Roomgirl when it has proper plugin and subfolder support. In the meantime, all my of HS2 files should work fine in Roomgirl, feel free to take your favorite poses from my collection and add them manually to your roomgirl pose folder. (Roomgirl>Userdata>Studio>Pose) Pose data within subfolders will not show up in Roomgirl studio.

Q: I do not see the poses in the Anim>Kinematics>Pose folder.
A:
If you are on Koikatsu, you may need to update your game to a newer version of better repack. The Koi files now use a plugin called pose tools. For HS1 and HS2 users, please double check that you installed the correct pack for your game, as the file paths are different.

Q: How do I mirror a pose so that it changes left/right facing to better fit my scene?
A: Look for the button "HSPE" on the bottom left UI (it is called HS2PE on HS2 and KKPE on Koi) and open it. Look for the swap pose button (show below) and click it when you have the character selected and the pose loaded.

Q: The pose does not perfectly fit my character's body proportions or the scene, how do I make adjustments to it?
A: Please follow my move controller tutorial to make adjustments, in conjunction with the HSPE pose mirror described above to adapt my poses to your scene. The intent behind my poses is to provide a framework for you to work off of for your scene and the variations that I include are more like.. suggestions of possible variations.

Q: Got any tips for aligning couple's poses?
A:
My couples poses are always composed with the two characters facing the same direction on the Y-Rotational axis. Ideally set both characters rotations to 0 across the board, or if your scene requires the characters be rotated, make sure they have the same "Rot Y" value:

once you have the correct rotation locked down, it is MUCH easier to fit the couple into each other's loving arms. (use the move controller referenced in the previous question).

Please also keep in mind character scaling. For HS2 the character size that I use is 1.07 for males and height 50 for female, for example.

How thin or 'thicc' your character is will also factor in. My characters skew towards Chinese beauty standards, so they are typically pretty thin, and the poses will be built around those proportions. If your characters have more generous proportions, you will need to adjust the placement of the hands in most instances.
