Exclusive 15: Stella Fortuna

Stella Fortuna is packed with all the features and gimmicks that I have learned about HS2 modding so far, including some tricks I have not dabbled in before. The design is based off of a reference that I fell in love with a while ago:

This is my first mod featuring skindentation and true cloth physics. Skindentation allows me to manually sculpt a better looking bosom that appears when the dress is worn. This should help reduce reliance on the pushup plugin and the x-breast slider, which both have their downsides. Thank you Rose and Lurki for helping me grasp this gimmic.
The cloth physics are an exciting development in my modding journey. The cloth will collide with the character's lower body and floor in real time as shown above. I have been dabbling with cloth, but regardless of constraint input, I never got a good result because the function required a clean mesh, which I can now make myself in blender.

OKay.. maybe these features arnt exactly unheard of, as some of my betters in the biz have been using them forever, but its exciting to me as a new modder ok?! 🙃

In anycase, here are some more pics of what your getting:

The short under-skirt and necklace assembly are removable and the tassels are a separate item in the gloves category. If the dress tail is being a nuisance for your scene you can also just rip it off with the break slider.

The arm-bound tassels are a bit unruly and mostly only suitable to standing poses because they get all psycho when colliding with too many body parts. I have no idea how long or what it would take to get them right, and I want to get this into the hands of fashionistas who's membership is expiring so they will be going out as-is and getting patched later.

With this release, I think that most of the skills I need have fallen into place.. from here on out its just a matter of developing taste and a clothier's intuition, both of which will (hopefully) come with time. Thank you, Fashionistas, for helping me grow as a modder. Enjoy! 😉

Tips for using Cloth Sim Clothing

Simulated cloth is cool, but it does not always behave. Here are some tips.

EXTRA TIP REGARDING SMALL BREAST SIZES

If you character has very modest proportions (sub 40), the skindentation mesh may backfire, causing a crease in the middle of her chest. In this case, you can turn it off in mat editor. Go to 'Tops' and look for a mesh called 'Body Double Welded' and toggle it off.

Thanks Chronus!

Hi Zing, what I used there is just my general scene setup with the lights rotated and tinted a different color. The gradient background can be achieved by resizing and overlapping some "Colored Shadow" studio items. You can get my basic scene setup that I shared in the FAQ here: https://mega.nz/folder/AIIAFRRB#tgZE6eo4X3uVkR3ThQB4Qg
