Amazing first game you played on day 2 on live stream not dropping a set, Was saying to my Partner n kids that he will be be champion again this year with the way you played that first match on stream. I was gutted and shocked when I that you lost the next match and unfortunately the next 2 match ups. Seriously felt your pain with such a strong start to the worlds n then not seeing your name on Sunday's finalists. IMO your still the GOAT and have been since 2016, always thinking outside of the META and proving it when it counts. Hopefully next year you can get that world champion title and so everyone that world champ difference. Hopefully your coming to Londons tournament in Febuary 2025, nni get to see the world champ difference in person. Thanks Wolfe for what you do for us, your fans and supporters with breakdowns and advice in all aspects of Pokèmon VGC 👌

Also wanted to say that your authenticity and passion for vgc has completely changed the way me and my wife view the game. You probably havent watched it back, but your responses in your interview after beating Hirofumi were so self-aware, eloquent, thoughtful that my wife now has a completely different appreciation for the complexities of the game we both love. We ended up canceling the rest of our plans for the weekend so we could stay home and watch the rest of the tournament together and cheer you on. Im sure im speaking for everyone when I say we would have loved to see you in the finals, but at the same time, please know that the difference you have made through your content is so much more meaningful. VGC is the most popular it has ever been, and while Scarlett and Violet are great, I have no doubt the rise in popularity is more due to the time, effort, passion, and outreach of you and your team. Kudos on an amazing run this year. You are truly changing the landscape of the game you love.

2024-09-01 21:14:36 +0000 UTCSomething I think you say that is really interesting to me is being surprised that Valiant doesn't live Volt Switch, having picked up Valiant for my Kyurem Black a bit before worlds I was doing some calcs and Iron Valiant is NOT that specially bulky. With a +spd nature and as much investment into hp and spd as possible, while also barely just going over the needed amount for speed booster energy, Volt Switch still has a 68.8% chance to OHKO in electric terrian. Now this is fixed in grassy terrian or anything that can really weaken Miraidon's output, you'll only have about 54% to 65% done to you by Volt Switch. Iron Valiant sadly is NOT that bulky which sucks as its support move pool is great. Now you can remedy this by going Tera ground but Draco will always OHKO Iron Valiant. The far weaker dragon pulse will not thankfully, but Draco is such a powerful move I understand many not wanting to exchange the power for 5% more accuracy. TLDR, Iron Valiant needs a ton of investment to even compete with Miraidon's damage output, and needs Miraidon's ability shut off in order to start living attacks 100% of the time. In order to live that Yuta would have had to hit a spirit break on Miraidon, which was pretty impossible as Luca locked in follow me. These types of situations have come up more than I'd like with Iron Valiant personally, which is why I started running protect on Valiant.
