Live Intermission from New York

Okay, so this is the special segment that I filmed in Buffalo NY at UBCon. I plan to have this play, in full, during the first Sam & Cat intermission... But I'll admit, I'm a little unsure if it's good enough! So please watch through this and tell me if you like what you see!

Live Intermission from New York

Comments

this is the greatest intermission of all time

Im in the sensory issues gang not a fan of the chaos, but I love how different it is from all the rest of the episode

After rewatching it, I changed my mind, keep it all in. It grew on me XD

Cerra Matthews

I love the chaotic energy it has. My gf said it might need subtitles since it's a bit hard to understand at time. But we both were enjoying the idea of "what if you were late to class and this is what you see when you come in"

Dylan Bimberg

I love the live Intermission. Seems like it would be jarring to go from produced content in your room to live back to produced content in your room but with the right transitions it could work. Keep it in.

For me personally, I was having difficulty taking in what was actually being said in this one. It wasn't necessarily that I was having trouble hearing the words but more so that there was so much else going on the content wasn't sinking in as easily. Maybe subtitling it would help, or cutting it down into shorter clips? Or maybe I'm just braindead today. But I did like the content at lot and your energy here is fantastic, totally agree with whoever above said you have great stage presence, you should take this show on the road Edit: just saw someone above mention sensory issues and it clicked for me, I think that's what I was experiencing as well

sarah

i think you absolutely have to keep this because of how chaotic it is

I liked it a lot! I think it's good to have different types of segments to break things up and get people invested again in case they've been binge-watching.

Carly Dingman

It's really fun! The Dimmadome hat and the back and forth with you and Hippie add an incredible energy to this. Some of the audio is difficult for me as someone with sensory issues, so I'd second some of the other comments suggesting you rerecord the segment at home. Butdefinitely keep this up! And maybe unprivate it when the full Sam &Cat part 2 is posted! It's chaotic and delightful!

hi hungry, I'm Beck

i am only one opinion so take it with that many grains of salt: i LOVE the back and forth energy with you and hippie but some of the audience callouts are uncomfortable.

Amanda Kelly

Just for future reference, if you are going to have people film for you and you are using onboard audio, you can't have them breathing directly into the mic. I wanted to keep watching but the breathing was too distracting.

Charles Reimer

I do agree with the idea of refilming the meat of this in your normal setup, and cut in the best parts from the live footage. It would feel a lot more consistent and would be easier to follow. Super impressed with this, Quinton! I really appreciate the effort & lengths you go to to make this series the best that it can be.
