I have an eerily similar box of stuff that I brought home, head dress, soda cans, rank, name tags, patches, coins... but mine are from the first Gulf War in 1991. Loved your video. So many things are different today, but oddly so many more things are the same.

2019-11-13 02:38:41 +0000 UTCYep, Ft. Sill in the mid-70s. Went there for 82C AIT for the NG. Basic started there right after I graduated from BCT at Ft. Leonard Wood. Instructors were easy going, as I remember. It was essentially, if you can't do the math, we'll just send you across the post to "cannon cocker" school and you'll be fine. It was a weird time to be in the Army. My class set a Battery record for article 15 judgements for marijuana possession (yes, it was just an article 15). Weird time. Graduated and switched to active duty USAF three months later.
