Time Card: January 2022

I got home from dealing with my mother's death, got the video completely filmed, and then slowly edited it until it was ready. It was somewhat more difficult to motivate myself to sit at the computer for hours every day than usual, but I'm assuming that is because of recent events.
This video came out and so far, is the best release among my most recent ten videos. I've also started doing something new with this video - creating shorts. Ever since the JW video, I've had these extra tangents that I knew I could turn into short one-minute videos, I just didn't have the desire to do so until recently. I'll try it out for a while and see how I like it. Let me know what you think. My hope is that my shorts won't be random one-off videos, but addendums to my main videos.
After the video came out, I bought a bunch of new camera equipment and have been learning how to use that ever since. You might not have noticed, but this last video was filmed in 4k60p. The next video might even have proper color correction!

And you have done more than OK. I don’t even hold you being field artillery against you. You said a nice thing about the infantry that once. That was all I needed to hear. Anyone else who wants to hassle you, send them to your old Uncle Pete for a clarification session. ;) A little four wall counseling goes a long way. I am making some of your videos required viewing for new participants of that project. If we can’t agree on these basic facts that this guy has put forward in that video … there, there … there’s the door. You are doing just fine, my man. Uncle Pete has his eye on you. And speaking for just myself, I have 0 problem with creators taking time off, especially for something as tough as a family death in the family, but also just to get creative juices flowing or whatever. I hope you take as much time as you need!

2022-02-02 00:33:43 +0000 UTCLove the shorts idea, both for topics which deserve addressing but not necessarily a lengthy deep dive and/or for topics that maybe are worth the full monty at some point but you'd like to speak in brief to now. Sympathies on the loss of your mom, KB. Cancer sucks and I'm guessing she wasn't especially old, though losing parents hits you in unexpected ways no matter the age. There's no wrong way to grieve -- please be kind to yourself.

I'm pretty ADHD-like and find I often can't/don't watch a >30min video all at once- or sometimes at all, but I appreciate that you want to give adequate coverage of usually complex subjects.
