This keeps up and eventually people are gonna stop being afraid of us," Amber says, exhaling a stinky cloud of cigarette smoke. "Does this have something to do with you chasing her into Forgery Chapel yesterday? You never said how that went." She clears her throat, not quite making eye contact with me. I know that look, it says there's a darn good reason why I haven't heard about it. "We can put her higher on the bingo board if you want." Kat raises an eyebrow. "Thought you'd never ask," Amber said. "Guess it's a table meeting then? Who wants to go first?" Oh I love when we do the table meeting! "Haley takes a bike home, doesn't she? What if we set up a road block and catch her while she's leaving school? We could all dress up as crossing guards!" Kat shakes her head. "Too many people on the road at at 3, not to mention the buses. All she'd need to do is flag down an actual crossing guard and we'd be proper boned. Amber's already on probation." Amber taps her chin, "I like the afterschool part, but Kat's right. We should make this a little more covert." "Well you know her best, what's your idea?" Amber glances towards Kat. "I kinda want you to do it." Kat narrows her eyes, "Me? I thought Haley was your favorite? I don't even know if I've spoken to her before." "Which is why you'd be perfect for the job!" Amber gestures back and forth between her and I. "She knows us, if she sees us together she's gonna immediately know somethings up. And especially after The Incident..." Kat stiffens slightly, she isn't laughing. She is very much not laughing. "Fair enough. But you know what you'd be signing her up for, right? It's stream night, I'd planned on using Christine again. But I could change it up. She's gonna be gone for at least the weekend." Amber's eyes light up maliciously. "That sounds awesome!" Taking out her phone, Kat types away for a moment before returning her gaze to us. "Alright, Christine's lucky break then. Guess I'm up." She turns to me. "Do you know what her bike looks like?" I nod, "Yup, it's one of those weird stand up only, ones. Looks hard to ride." She reaches into her purse, producing a thin razor blade. "Perfect. You get to pop the tire then. I should be able to handle it from there. But the both of you keep your phones ready just in case." I daintily pluck the thin razor from Kat's fingers. "Ooh. Vandalism and destruction of property. My favorite!" Amber stands up and a loud gasp reminds us that we aren't the only people in here. "Alright, meetings over. You can breathe." Jessica lies gasping in a heap of sweat, her head resting upward in Amber's seat and her tongue hanging idly out of her mouth. Amber takes a final drag off of her cigarette before flicking it out the nearby open window of the mostly empty classroom. I laugh, "I thought bringing pets into class was against the rules?" "Only if they aren't housebroken." Amber retorts, smoothing out her skirt. We exit the room, leaving Jessica to find her own way out as I make my way towards the bike racks, the razor blade in my pocket just begging to be used. --------------------------------------- All characters belong to me.
