Suddenly the landscape changes. Something triggers in your brain. Is the mountain shaped like a staircase? You've never seen anything like this before. Even in a world of magic, this feels strange.
It's a Rice Farm, built in the mountain side. Each terrace is called a paddy, and it's used to accumulate shallow water for planting rice, usually only a few centimeters deep. This is done with the monsoon rain in the rainforest biomes, using a river's flow with irrigation channels, manually or in marshes, and after the land has been plowed with beasts of burden or manual tools.
The seeds are sown in nursery beds under very controlled conditions. After that, the seedlings are transplanted into the paddies. This allows the rice to be in the perfect environment for optimal growth.
When it's time to harvest, the stalks are dried under the sun and beaten to separate the rice grains. Then it's dried as soon as possible to reduce moisture.
Sometimes, other animals such as ducks can help maintaining the farms in good condition controlling pests naturally, fertilizing the land and removing unwanted weeds. Happiest ducks in the world.
Additionally to the interesting way of using the terrain for farming, this map proposes an interesting combat field with high ground parts and places to take cover.
The pack also includes all roofs as separated assets for more versatility.
The ready-to-play Foundry VTT module is preconfigured with walls, lights and overhead roofs.
Have fun!
