Rosa's voice and inflections during the beauty salon scene are actually much closer to how she talks in real life, which is part of the fun and the joke. To play Rosa, Stephanie Beatriz uses a low rather uninflected vocal pitch, but as herself she sounds almost like a Valley Girl. (If anyone remembers that whole phenomenon these days.)
