2024-01-25 23:22:15 +0000 UTCI think Caroline's approach with Rebekah should be "kill her with kindness." Embrace her into her life and introduce her around as if she were Caroline's bestie. Disarm her by laughing at her jabs and pretending her pointed comments aren't meant to be serious or a threat. Getting upset and mad, that just feeds Rebekah's need, whatever weird need she has to cause mayhem. I actually would have preferred to see that kind of approach rather than the writers falling back on the usual trope of "new girl starts taking over, rival gets pissy about it." I think Caroline could pull off fake-friend really well if she tried. Though granted, Rebekah is a LOT to deal with, for anybody, at least what we've seen so far. She comes off as pouty, spoiled, entitled, vindictive, and mean.
