Sam is a hypocrite, as you will see shortly. It was HE who taught Dean that monsters aren't always bad - ie Lenore & Kate. I feel for poor Benny, how his life and vampire life, has turned out. Compare that with the bitch Amelia and her nastiness and her judgmental ways towards Sam. You said it best when you said you were not warminig up to her (or something to that effect). Two new characters this season and we find the 'monster' more humane than the human.
