This is easily one of my fav episodes of S3. The whole vampire Lore is so interesting and it all comes to play brilliantly. I feel so bad for Rebekah she's my favourite Original I love her soo much, feel bad for Klaus too he was treated so badly by Michael. Elena was spot on when she said Rebekah loves blindly and recklessly kinda like damon and that end scene of damon and elena was so pure and beautiful. And I totally agree and believe it's the brothers bond it's them who will save the other to be honest Defan the bros are my most fav ship 🥺🤭

A significant lore dump of the origin of The Originals. I love how the show still found a unique way to keep Elijah around on the show, even though it's in flashback form, although it's only a matter of time before we get him back. Also, get used to feeling bad for Rebekah and hating Klaus, those two things kinda go hand in hand. Sebastian Roché is in his bag as Mikael, he even dropped of one favorite words: boy (derogatory). He always says it the same way. He's always interesting to watch on the screen, I know that he's a piece of shit, but that's kinda my brand. One of my favorite villains in this series kinda falls can be described this way and the villains do make this show for me, well they at least keep things exciting.

The lore drop in this episode is fascinating...dare I say compelling? lol
This is also where we catch a glimpse at Rebekah's vulnerability beneath her bitch/spoiled brat facade. Well, it may not be completely a facade, but we now see there are also multiple layers to her. There is a real opportunity to genuinely befriend Rebekah and make her feel accepted and included despite her inhumanness; with the homecoming dance and cheerleading stuff, she is showing that she craves something she has been missing. Whether or not that opportunity will be taken, I cannot say, so we'll just have to watch and see.

I feel like this episode is the first that really made people grow to love and have a soft spot for Klaus. It was for me at least lol. He does a lot of psychotic things, but Mikael was such an abusive jerk to him. Still breaks my heart to see. Love the story of The Originals and how they came to be
