Student Sponsor- Character design - commission part2

When choosing colors for a character's design, it is always necessary to consider characteristics such as personality, taste, and what the character will represent in the story for which it is needed. On the other hand, it is always necessary to study the basic tools and concepts of color in order to find attractive combinations for the reader, using principles such as "color triads", complementary colors, and details of that kind (in Sky's design, all of this is much easier to appreciate).

Finally, it is always necessary to keep in mind proportions and color hierarchies, where it is usually recommended that one color predominate, while the other colors gradually decrease their presence in the final design. Personally, I like to use proportions like these:

-60% primary color

-30% complementary color

-5% color for details (often eyes or gradients)

-5% remaining for details less like accessories, here it is possible to add a few colors trying not to steal the limelight but to help.
