Taste-testers with Different Tastes (Feat. Poff and Everette)

Hello! A bit of a more different format of work but ultimately, still very fruit-centric lol.

I wanted to do something involving my ocs from the poff n co universe so I settled on the two fruit-enjoyers in a scenario that I could canonically see them both interacting in. I had planned on this being more comic-y with an additional panel or two but I couldn't figure out a good enough ending so I scrapped the additional panels. Its definitely not as extravagant as other images I've done but its fun to draw something more cutesy and safe for work that focuses more on characterization n body language.

Now time for me to ramble about my silly ocs and the thoughts that go behind this image:

I imagine Poff to be someone who cares a lot about the taste of the gum that makes you a fruit. Poff the type of person to be able to taste the difference between different candies that share the same flavor. He'd probably enjoy the experience of tasting blueberry pie gum (not the tomato or roast beef part, just the pie) or just enjoying the flavor of blueberries as he swells up. In a taste-tester scenario, he'd do his best to give back good critique and be polite. I think he'd rate the gum an 8/10 just because it's a bit too similar to an already existing flavor at the Violet Gardens. Nevertheless, afterwards, Evan will have a fun time juicing Poff back down to size :>

On the contrary, Everette is...pickier. First and foremost, Everette hates certain artificial flavors, especially the ones you'd consider more sour or tart (like green apple or grape). He's the head of a food company after all, his principle is essentially "if i can taste the chemicals, the people can taste the chemicals" so he tries to avoid bad artificial flavoring with every fiber of his being. Secondly, he doesn't even really chew gum all that often to achieve a berrying. He prefers wine or hard candies he can actually consume rather than something you gnaw on. But he's not totallyyy adverse to the concept, if its what's available he'll take it. I imagine his feedback towards Shun is more on the blunt side, one businessman to another businessperson type beat. He'd be totally transparent about his qualms but make sure Shun knows that other things like texture, packaging, concept, etc. are enjoyed. On the other hand, Shun makes sure to reward Everette for his help :)))))

I have an idea for a doodle of them post-taste-testing but I won't make any promises I'll be able to finish it this weekend. To be honest, I've been a bit burnt out and tired of drawing porn lol. Maybe I've just reached a low in my libido or my brain is trying to send me a sign that I'm depressed or something. Either way, nothing proper rest and focus on other things won't help.
