I’m so excited to take this journey with you guys. ❤️ This is my favorite show of all time. It manages to be so damn wholesome and positive without being saccharine. I’ve been subbed since your GoT reactions were going live and you’re my favorite reactors, so this is extra special that y’all are watching Ted Lasso. I don’t know if either of you have watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series but Anthony Head (he plays Rebecca’s dickhead ex-husband, Rupert) also plays Buffy’s mentor/Watcher in BtVS, coincidentally also named Rupert. 🤣 Just a bit of random trivia that no one asked for. 🤣 can’t wait til the next TL reaction. 🥰 hope you guys had a great Christmas.

2024-12-26 21:07:27 +0000 UTCSince you felt the need to post this publicly and sent it to us as a DM, I will share my thoughts here too - You're missing my point - It has nothing to do with first impressions or if the person is actually a good person or not. If you get to know someone and find out they are a good person and have nothing but positive intentions and you continue to follow the plan that could ruin their life, and hurt them then yes, that makes you a really bad and evil person. Context matters and I was being very specific about this very specific moment. Obviously, people should be nice to each other regardless BUT in this specific story, up to the point we've watched, Rebecca is bad if she continues down the road they've presented. I analyze things has they happen, episode to episodes and opinions obviously shift, if you've seen our other reactions. Now, keep in mind you have obviously seen this show and know what happens and we have not so we I would appreciate it if we didn't speak on this anymore just so spoilers don't accidently slip.

2024-12-26 21:06:22 +0000 UTCsorry Steven, but wrong, a person is not "more evil" just because their victim is "sooo positive and good".Just imagine someone mistreating you and making the excuse that you never look positive and optimistic, so it's not all that evil to treat you badly. That's not how it works. Just because a person out on the street looks grumpy or insecure, it is not less evil to hurt them, than to hurt Ted Lasso. If Rebecca was hurting not Ted, but only Roy, and nobody else, would that make her less evil? An evil deed is an evil deed. Doesn't matter what traits your victim has.

My favorite parts of this one is the budding relationship between Rebecca & Keely (which are both stunningly beautiful), the dynamic of the effect Ted is having on Roy, and it is the first time Ted meets Rupert face to face and in the slyest way calls him out for his BS knowing that it was Rupert that stopped Robbie Williams (for those that don't know he was part of a boy band group that was popular just about everywhere other than the US then went solo and got even more popular) from showing up. Love that you decided to watch, I have tried so hard to get family and friends to watch this show but for whatever reasons have not been very successful which is why, speaking for myself, it is so very cool and special we the fans of yours get to enjoy the ride again through your eyes!!!!!! To feel the same joy and emotions I felt the first time watching!! Thank You Nikki & Steven!! By the way, it is not giving anything away by saying (again for those that don't know) Diamond Dogs is the name of a song off of his 8th studio album of the same name by one of the Greatest Artist to ever walk this Earth even though he wasn't from here, the incomparable David Bowie!!

The English Premier League is the top league in the UK, the second highest league in the UK is the English Championship. The Champion's League (so similar, I know) is separate, it's a tournament where all of the top few teams from every European country's top league play each other. Since 90 % of the best teams in the world are based in Europe, it's a big deal. That's where you get teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, etc. plus all of the English giants like Manchester United, Liverpool, and my beloved Arsenal. Rupert is the worst, I've been a fan of Anthony Head for a long time because of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I've seen him play a villain before, but I could never bring myself to dislike his character because of how much I liked the actor on Buffy, but with Rupert they've finally made me dislike a character played by Anthony Head.
