Update: I got promoted - here's what's next for us

Hey all,

I have quite an unexpected update. As the title says, I got promoted recently. I came back from my vacation and during my 1:1 my boss has shared with me that him and upper management wanted to promote me after seeing how I held the team together during my boss' paternal leave and stepping up in a few projects that I was interested in pursuing. 

The promotion came with an offer to up my salary significantly, and after negotiating and learning more on the responsibilities that come with my new role, I accepted my new contract effective immediately. 

The new role requires me to learn a lot and dedicate significantly more effort to succeed. But thankfully, this new role is in a sector that I have always been passionate about and I'm excited to pursue it fully. This means, regrettably, that I will have less time to devote to creating new content for this Patreon. It’s a bittersweet moment for me as this platform and all of you have been such an integral part of my journey.

From helping me rent AirBnbs to record away from Metro Manila's sounds, to getting me out of the country, to pursuing a Master's degree, and now I have established myself in a new home with a decent paying job... I have all of you to thank for this wonderful journey. After 5 years of Patreon and 8 years of recording audios - it's time to switch off the audio factory. 

Don't get me wrong - making audios has always been fun for me, paid or not. I know I will still be making audios, but this time at a more leisurely pace. 

I want to assure you that while I won't be actively creating new content, I've decided to keep this page active. This means all the audios and content that we've created together, which many of you have supported and paid for, will still be accessible. You can revisit them anytime you want.

For current patrons, I will be disabling the billing cycle, so you will not be charged going forward. Your access, however, remains uninterrupted. For anyone new who stumbles upon this page, the archive will be available for a one-time access fee, which I think is a fair way to respect the contributions of those who have supported me over the years.

I am immensely grateful for the support, encouragement, and engagement you all have shown. It’s been an incredible experience sharing my audios and interacting with such a supportive community. Although I won’t be creating new content here, I am not disappearing. I will be around, and who knows, I may drop in occasionally with updates or surprise content if time allows.

Thank you once again for being such an amazing group of supporters. I am excited about this new chapter in my professional life, and I hope you'll continue to root for me, as I will for all of you in your endeavors.
